Blocks & Rewards

How BNC blocks are produced and why confirmations matter.

Block structure

Each block contains: height, timestamp, previous hash, difficulty, nonce, transactions, and the miner’s reward output.

Rewards & coinbase

The network pays a fixed scalar yield (e.g., 458 BNC at launch) to the miner address declared in the coinbase transaction.

Difficulty & timing

Difficulty adjusts to target an average block time. Short‑term variance is normal; over time the average converges.

Confirmations

A payment is safer as more blocks build on top. Many apps treat 3–6 confirmations as final for small amounts.
