Wallet generator
Generator is being finalized for bnc1… addresses. Until then, use the Wallet Setup Guide below to create and back up a wallet safely. If you need a wallet now, ping us on Discord and we’ll provide a verified build or help you generate one offline.
Private keys & seed phrases
Your wallet controls coins with a private key derived from a seed phrase (12–24 words). Anyone who learns your seed can spend your coins.
- Write the seed on paper/metal. Never screenshot or upload to cloud.
- Test recovery on a spare device before sending large funds.
Addresses (bnc1…)
BNC uses bech32‑style addresses like bnc1… for receiving payments. Addresses can be reused, but privacy improves if you generate a new one per payment.
Backups
- Keep at least two copies of your seed in separate safe places.
- Protect from water/fire if possible; metal backup plates are ideal.
Self‑custody vs exchanges
Self‑custody means you hold the keys; exchanges hold them on your behalf. If a service freezes, your coins are at risk. Prefer self‑custody whenever possible.
Recommended software
- Desktop: Sparrow, Electrum (advanced).
- Mobile: BlueWallet (simple receive), or other reputable open‑source wallets.
Operational tips
- Confirm and label your first tiny test receive before larger deposits.
- Enable PIN/biometrics on devices and keep OS up to date.
- Beware of fake apps and phishing. Verify download links.
